PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which a display content of a liquid crystal display is well visually identified. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 includes a casing 6 to store the liquid crystal display 2 with polarizing plates 2c, 2d arranged on the front side and the rear side thereof, and a see-through plate 7 covering a front opening of the casing 6 and made of a synthetic resin. By arranging a side wall 7a on the see-through plate 7 so as to surround the outside of a tip portion of the front opening of the casing 6, and arranging a gate port 7c during resin molding of the see-through plate 7 on a position of the side wall 7a remote from a region to view the liquid crystal display 2, even when the display content of the liquid crystal display 2 is viewed through polarizing glasses, the display content of the liquid crystal display 2 is well visually identified because light passes through the see-through plate 7 on a position remote from the gate port 7c, having no anisotropy of a refractive index due to molding by arranging the gate port 7c on the position of the side wall 7a of the see-through plate 7.
