<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which does not miss a good opportunity to take a photograph or take a failure photograph, by issuing an alarm. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a determination means for determining at least one of whether or not strobe light emitted by a strobe unit has not reached an object and whether or not it is the state of causing image blur due to a camera shake, and an alarm means for issuing an alarm when it is determined by the determination means that the strobe light has not reached.
