<p>The embodiments of the present invention refer to the field of communications, and in particular a method for generating modulated signals and a transmission device thereof are disclosed. The method for generating modulated signals includes the following steps: generating first monochromatic light and second monochromatic light with frequency difference; modulating respectively the first monochromatic light and the second monochromatic light to obtain a first modulated optical signal and a second modulated optical signal; overlapping the first modulated optical signal and the second modulated optical signal to output and obtain a mixed optical signal; converting photoelectrically the mixed optical signal to obtain a modulated signal. During the process for generating modulated signals, the embodiments of the present invention avoid the digital intermediate frequency modulation, thus the processings before the photoelectric conversion are all done in optical domain. Meanwhile, the light signals, which are obtained by processing, are transmitted by optical waveguides, such as optical fibers, and hence the limitation of high speed transmission for a transmission device, which is caused by intermediate frequency cable, is avoided.</p> |
