PURPOSE: A backlight unit of a display device is provided to closely adhere the backlight unit to the display unit thereby reducing the thickness of the backlight unit. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit of a display device comprises a substrate, a plurality of light sources place on the substrate, an optical sheet(250) which is closely adhere to a resin layer(230), and a backlight unit including a plurality of grooves(231) on the upper part of the resin layer. The groove of the backlight unit is a circular cone or polygonal cone. Some grooves are formed along the light source direction, and the width of the groove is larger than that of light emitting area.
