PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of storing data without using a functional difference of a device as a hardware configuration. SOLUTION: A compression-development section 34 in each of storage devices 30-1 to 30-N compresses data meeting data compression conditions out of data stored in a memory device 37. Moreover, the compression-development section 34 joins a plurality of data, each having a size smaller than a predetermined threshold, to produce one joined data out of the data meeting the data compression conditions, and then compresses the joined data.
