The device comprises at least one dimmer (5) which is suitable for receiving an input in the form of an alternating current and producing an output in the form of a current of the same or lower power. The device also comprises a frequency sensitive apparatus 6 arranged so as to monitor the frequency of the input. The dimmer is arranged to vary the power of the output in response to the frequency of the input as detected by the frequency sensitive apparatus.</p> |
