<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester container which is excellent in gas barrier properties and flavor maintenance, is not whitened even when stored for a long period of time, and is excellent in transparency. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester container has a monolayer or a multilayer structure prepared by laminating one or more monolayers, each layer comprising a polyester resin composition, and is obtained by a thermoforming process. The polyester resin composition is obtained by mixing at least two components comprising 80-98 mass% of polyester (A) and 20-2 mass% of polyamide (B) obtained by polycondensation of a diamine unit including 70 mol% or more of a meta-xylylene diamine unit and a dicarboxylic acid unit including 70 mol% or more of anα,ω-aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit. The polyamide (B) is dispersed in the polyester (A). The average length in the major axis direction of the dispersed particles observed when the surface of a container drum part is subjected to TEM observation at a magnification of 10,000 times is 0.8 micron or less.
