PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can record an image in a short period of time while reducing generation of satellites even under low temperature environment. SOLUTION: A control part 26 selects a normal waveform or a satellite countermeasure waveform by using the detection results from a temperature detection part 22 which detects the temperature of ink supplied to an inkjet head 1, and controls a head drive part 21 so that the inkjet head 1 is driven by the selected waveform. The normal waveform is the waveform of a voltage which drives a variable means for varying the volume of an ink chamber so that the volume of the ink chamber in the inkjet head 1 is enlarged and then returned to the original volume before being reduced and returned again to the original volume. The satellite countermeasure waveform is the waveform of a voltage which is smaller than the voltage of the normal waveform, and the time required for the satellite countermeasure waveform to start reduction in volume of the ink chamber after the volume is enlarged and then returned to the original volume is shorter than the time required for the normal waveform.
