<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measurement accuracy in a belt-type body fat measuring device for calculating a the amount of body fat by an abdominal impedance method. <P>SOLUTION: The body fat measuring device includes current application electrodes 11 and 12 and voltage detection electrodes 13 and 14 for abdominal impedance measurement. A control microcomputer 611' passes an electric current from a navel side to a back side and from the back side to the navel side oppositely, measures a voltage while the electric current is being passed, and when it is determined that the current application electrodes 11 and 12 are not in sufficient contact with a body surface due to the floating of the electrodes 11 and 12, drives actuators A1 and A2 on the side of the electrodes 11 and 12 through an actuator driving block 617, and adjusts the contact state. In such a manner, the way of the contact of the electrodes 11 and 12 with the body surface is adjusted and measurement variation is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
