<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED driving circuit capable of reducing power loss while taking current precision into consideration, and to provide a semiconductor device equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The LED driving circuit includes a regulator which regulates a voltage to be applied to an LED, a level converter which allows a current corresponding to a current flowing to the LED to flow to a current sense resistance, converts the current into a voltage, and feeds the voltage back to the regulator, and a protection circuit which stops the output of the regulator based upon the output of the level converter. The level converter is installed in a feedback loop and then the output voltage of the regulator does not depend upon a reference voltage, so that a more suitable output voltage can be set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
