A method for encapsulating a Relay-Medium Access Control Protocol Data Unit (R-MAC PDU), and a method, system and device for transmitting the R-MAC PDU are provided. The R-MAC PDU includes a R-MAC PDU header and a R-MAC PDU payload. A sender encapsulates the MAC control element(s) (CEs) belonging to the relay node(s) (RNs) and/or the m Relay-User Equipment(s) (R-UEs) and the MAC Service Data Unit(s) (SDUs) belonging to the RN(s) and/or the k R-UE(s) in the R-MAC PDU payload, where m and k are integers and m,k=1. An indicating information is encapsulated in the R-MAC PDU header, and indicates the RN(s) or the R-UE(s) which the MAC CE(s) and the MAC SDU(s) in the R-MAC PDU payload separately belong to. The present invention can improve the resource utilization ratio of a backhaul link and enables eNB to schedule and control a backhaul link and a access link effectively.
