PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device capable of damping vibration acting in the vertical direction to reduce impact caused by the vibration and preventing a function of stacked rubber from being degraded.SOLUTION: This base isolation device 1 includes the stacked rubber 3 provided between an upper part foundation 2A and a lower part foundation 2B arranged in the vertical direction and fixing its one end on the upper part foundation 2A, a flat plate member 4 provided at the other end of the stacked rubber 3, a vertical direction restraining member fixed on the lower part foundation 2B while being in contact with a side face of the flat plate member 4, and a vertical direction damping member 6 including a viscous elastic body having damping performance between a pair of first hardware 62 and second hardware 63 fixed on the flat plate member 4 and the lower part foundation 2B and arranging the viscous elastic body to position on a side of the flat plate member 4. |
