PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sample methane from MH in a methane hydrate layer safely and highly efficiently with reduced electric power consumption.SOLUTION: In these methane hydrate decomposition method, pressure in a peripheral part of the methane hydrate deposit layer is reduced to the predetermined pressure, and an electrolytic solution is poured into the methane hydrate deposit layer to perform electrical conductive processing between a plurality of electrodes inserted inside to raise the temperature of a methane hydrate deposit and to decompose the methane hydrate into methane and water content. By discharging the separated methane by giving priority to it, the electrical conductive processing is continued while keeping proper permeability value of the water content in the methane hydrate deposit layer. |
