FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for improving stability of working and backup rolls and quality of strips rolled through the stands of quarto continuous group in wide-strip hot rolling mills. The method includes commissioning of working rolls to the last stand and alteration of roll operation with regrinding, further rolls rearrangement among stands against the rolling movement as long as the size of barrels diametre is reduced. ^ EFFECT: reduction of roll system deflection and transverse gage interference, proportional reduction of roll revolutions number as well as their deterioration is ensured by exceeding nominal value of body diametre in commissioned working rolls by 2-7%, operation in last stand is maintained until nominal value is reached and relative strip reduction is this strand does not exceed 18%. ^ 1 tbl, 1 ex |
