METHOD FOR DETERMINING DRIVING CONDITIONS OF A VEHICLE IN ADVANCE

The invention relates to a method for determining driving conditions of a vehicle in advance, characterised in that said method comprises the following steps: obtaining (11), from a navigation system, points that define at least one possible path located in front of the vehicle; extracting (13) at least one attribute for each point of the navigation system describing the driving environment associated with said point; comparing (14) the attribute of said point with that of the preceding point; if the attributes are identical, deducing a driving condition therefrom such that said driving condition depends on the attribute of the preceding point; if the two attributes are different, deducing therefrom the end of a driving condition and determining a transition to a new driving condition according to the attribute of said point, so as to define a series of driving conditions for said path; identifying a series of consecutive points and associating a common road context with the points of said series. The invention also relates to a system arranged so as to implement the method.
