PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a film which is embossed, for example, to prevent blocking when the film is stored and has good tackiness necessary for positioning in a lamination process which is a method for producing an ethylene-unsaturated ester copolymer film used for forming a laminate. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the film 40 for forming the laminate which includes the process in which by rolling a film 30 consisting of a composition containing an ethylene-unsaturated ester copolymer between an embossing roll 21 having a minute uneven pattern and a rubber-made press roll 22 arranged to face the embossing roll, the embossed pattern is transferred to only one side of the film 30, the arithmetic average roughness Ra of the surface of the rubber-made press roll 22 is 0.5-1.5μm.
