PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector cleaning tool capable of preventing destruction of an abutment member for pressing a cleaning body to the connected edge of an optical connector to be cleaned. SOLUTION: The optical connector cleaning tool includes a tool body 10 having a feed mechanism 3 for feeding/winding up a cleaning body 2, the mechanism being incorporated in a case body 11, and an insertion part 20 inserted into the connector housing hole of a housing. The insertion part 20 includes a head member 23 for pressing the cleaning body 2 to a joined edge, and an insertion cylinder 21 through which the head member 23 is inserted. The insertion cylinder 21 includes a cylinder base 15, a tip cylindrical part 16 disposed on the tip side, and an urging means 17 disposed therebetween. The tip cylindrical part 16 normally houses the head member 23, and moves backward by a reactive force from the housing to expose the pressed surface of the head member 23 when inserted into the connector housing hole.
