PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device for specimen capable of measuring accurately a directional characteristic, even if the specimen is placed at an angle, over a wide range of angles. SOLUTION: The device includes a first driving means 36 for displacing at an angle a mounting section 35 on which the specimen S is loaded detachably around a horizontal axis L<SB>H</SB>at a back side farther back than the mounting section 35; and a second driving means 37, on which the first driving means 36 is loaded for angularly displacing the first driving means 36 around a vertical axis L<SB>V</SB>. The mounting section 35, on which the specimen S is loaded, is displaced at an angle around the horizontal axis L<SB>H</SB>at a rear side farther than the mounting section 35 by the first driving means 36, and the first driving means 36 is displaced at an angle around the vertical axis L<SB>V</SB>by the second driving means 37, and the transmission characteristics and the reception characteristics of the specimen S are measured.
