摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic pattern recognition method, an information recording medium, a magnetic pattern recognition device and a composite processor for recognizing a magnetic pattern in a bent state and a magnetic pattern in a non-bent state which are printed on check paper as a number and a symbol by converting the peak interval of a detected magnetic waveform acquired from the magnetic pattern into a bar interval pattern. <P>SOLUTION: In step S402, a detected magnetic waveform for one magnetic pattern is extracted from an acquired detected magnetic waveform, and in step S403, a plurality of peak intervals of the extracted detected magnetic waveform are measured. In step S404, a plurality of bar intervals of the magnetic pattern are calculated from the plurality of measured peak intervals, and each of the calculated bar intervals is converted into a "wide" interval or a "narrow" interval of the bar interval pattern based on pattern conversion consisting of two steps, S405 and S412.
