PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for improving hair touch on the coating of a hair conditioner, a hair rinse, or the like, when hair is washed. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic includes the following components (1) to (4): (1) a quaternary amine compound represented by formula (I) in an amount of 0.01 to 10 mass% based on the cosmetic; (2) a higher alcohol and/or a higher fatty acid in an amount of 0.1 to 20 mass% based on the cosmetic; (3) one of the following (3-1) and (3-2), wherein (3-1) is an aromatic acid having a ≥8C alkyl group on a substituent, and (3-2) is an aromatic acid salt having a ≥8C alkyl group on a substituent and an organic acid; and (4) water.
