<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device which determines whether an outputted image is printed in color or in monochrome, the device conducting adequate determination which conforms to the result of the output of the image. <P>SOLUTION: The image-forming device which includes a controller part that executes image processing and a printing-executing part which forms an image on a printing medium, on the basis of outputted data after the image processing which are transferred from the controller part, and prints with a plurality of coloring materials including a coloring material for black. In this case, the controller part includes: a coloring material-counting means which measures the amount of each of the plurality of consumed coloring materials on the basis of the outputted data; and a determination means which acquires the measured values found by the coloring material-counting means for each prescribed outputting unit and determines that color printing is made for the prescribed outputting unit, when the measured values for the coloring materials except the coloring material for black vary, and also determines that monochrome printing is made for the prescribed outputting unit in case that only the measured value for the coloring material for black varies. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
