PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of fixing coils capable of fixing coils to cores by simple treatment without deteriorating a working environment, and obtaining lightweight coils having large space factors. SOLUTION: The method of fixing coils includes a process for disposing, at a slot section 2, a coil formed by winding a wire 11 including a long member 13 made of a thermosetting resin and a coil wire 9, and a process for heating and fusing the thermosetting resin for impregnation into the coil, further performing heating and curing in this state to integrate the coil wires 9, and fixing the coil and the slot section 2. The method of fixing coils includes a process for winding the wire 11 including the long member 13 made of a thermosetting resin and the coil wire 9 around a tooth section 3 to form the coil and disposing the formed coil at the slot section 2; and a process for heating and fusing the thermosetting resin for impregnating it into the coil, for further performing heating and curing in this state to integrate the coil wires 9, and fixing the coil and the slot section 2.
