PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately detect and avoid radiowave interference in a wireless LAN. SOLUTION: An interference detector detects reduction in radio quality caused by interference based on statistical information about wireless data communication in a wireless communication apparatus (step 407). The interference detector determines an avoiding operation for avoiding radio quality reduction caused by the interference based on a plurality of statistical information items obtained from an acquired communication status (steps 402, 407, 409, 410, 411 and steps 412, 413, 414, 415).
