<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of simply cooling an exhaust gas generated in a metallurgical furnace, using a chemical reaction, without using a large-scaled cooling facility, and to provide a cooler therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A reductant is added, from mainly a flue or the like, to the exhaust gas, generated in the metallurgical furnace of high temperature containing carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, an endothermic reaction is generated thereby between the reductant and the carbon dioxide in the exhaust gas, and the exhaust gas itself is cooled by the endothermic reaction, in the method of cooling the exhaust gas generated in the metallurgical furnace and the cooler therefor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
