PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted-type image display device which is excellent in a using feeling while displaying a plurality of images and has a few restrictions on design. SOLUTION: A first eyepiece optical part 13a and a second eyepiece optical part 13b are bonded to a rod-like light guide part 20 of the head-mounted-type image display device, first image light 51a incident from a first display element 16a is propagated inside the rod-like light guide part 20 and is guided to the first eyepiece optical part 13a, and second image light 51b incident from a second display element 16b is propagated inside the rod-like light guide part 20 and is guided to the second eyepiece optical part 13a. In a state where an observer wears the head-mounted-type image display device on the head, the rod-like light guide part 20 is horizontally supported. The first image light from the first eyepiece optical part 13a and the second image light from the second eyepiece optical part 13b are each emitted toward an eyeball 15 and are displayed as the images of two screens horizontally arranged within the visual field of the observer.
