<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated molded object with a coating having excellent sliding performance, and a method of manufacturing such a kind of a coated molded object. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The coated molded object 1 has a silica layer obtained by converting a curable composition containing polysilazane formed on a base material 2. In addition, the coated molded object is composed of the silica layer which is positioned as the outermost layer of the coated molded object, a lubricating layer 4 containing a lubricity imparting agent, 5, and a rigid layer 3 which is positioned in the lower layer of the lubricating layer 4 and does not contain the lubricity imparting agent.
