<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a capacitor of low heat generation from being supercooled and from causing instable operation due to a drop of electrostatic capacity in cooling a power converter formed of a power module and the capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: Power modules 2a, 2b and 2c are cooled by heat exchange with them while a refrigerant from an entrance 11a circulates through a power module refrigerant passage 11. The refrigerant flows into a capacitor refrigerant passage 12 through a communication pipe 13 and flows out from an outlet 12a. While the refrigerant circulates through the refrigerant passage 12, it cools the capacitors 3a, 3b and 3c by heat exchange with them. The refrigerant passes the power module refrigerant passage 11 and the capacitor refrigerant passage 12 and cools the power modules 2a, 2b and 2c and the capacitors 3a, 3b and 3c in this order. Thus, a temperature of the refrigerant is raised by heat exchange with the power modules 2a, 2b and 2c in cooling the capacitors 3a, 3b and 3c, and the capacitors 3a, 3b and 3c are prevented from being supercooled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
