<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion excellent in adhesiveness and contact with various base materials, a storage stability, a weatherability, and a hydrophobicity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion is produced by dispersing a block copolymer, composed of (A) a polymer block composed mainly of an olefin-based monomer unit and (B) a polymer block composed of 2-100 mol% unit of a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group or an anhydrous carboxylic acid group and 98-0 mol% unit of another vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the vinyl monomer, in an aqueous solution of 0.05 equivalent or over of a basic substance to the carboxyl group or the anhydrous carboxylic acid group.
