DEGRADABLE STENT

A degradable stent of which material is pure iron or iron based material containing 0.01-0.5 atomic percentage composition of lanthanum, cerium or strontium. The surface of the stent is modified, including: implanting elements of oxygen, nitrogen, lanthanum, cerium or strontium into the surface of the stent; or depositing modification material film on the surface of the stent. The thickness of said film is 10-1000 nm, and the grain size is 10-200nm. Said modification materials are lanthanum, cerium, strontium, lanthanum oxide, cerium oxide, strontium oxide, iron or iron oxide. The stent has good corrosion resistance and biocompatibility, is favorable for endothelial cell to cover the surface of the stent, and has controllable degradation velocity. The stent is capable of keeping good supporting property after implanting for 3-6 months, and allows sufficient degradation after 6 months as requested.
