<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack with high energy density, capable of electrically giving a high load with mechanical stability. <P>SOLUTION: A battery device of a battery container (4, 5) includes a central cell (3a) located inside of a group of adjacent cells (3b). All crossing points (S) of cell axes (63) of adjacent cells (3b) and a reference plane (64) are on a closed curve in a nearly oval shape.
