The method involves estimating synchronization information of reception of data frames transmitted by a transmitting node. A receiving node is configured for receiving one of the frames from the estimated synchronization information. A communication configuration between the transmitting and receiving nodes is tested during a period of time corresponding to execution of synchronization operation. The period of time is added with available time to carry out communication configuration test between the nodes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer programmable product downloadable from a communication network and/or recorded on a medium readable by a computer or executed by a processor, comprising a program code instructions for implementing a method for receiving frames with preamble in a communication network (2) a computer readable storage medium for storing a computer program comprising a set of instructions executed by a computer for implementing a method for receiving frames with preamble in a communication network (3) a receiving node of the frame with preamble in a communication network.
