<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a restart control device and method for a vehicle, wherein the responsiveness of an engine can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: Restart control is performed so that when restart conditions for restarting an engine which has stopped are established, the engine which has stopped is restarted with a driving force to be output by a motor, and the driving force equivalent to a creep driving force is output by the motor. When the electricity accumulation quantity of a battery is less than prescribed electricity accumulation quantity, and restart conditions are established regardless of the intention of a driver, the rate of rise of the rotational frequency of the engine is more increased than the case that the electricity accumulation quantity of the battery capable of supplying a power to the motor is equal to or more than the prescribed electricity accumulation quantity, and motor torque to be output by the motor is controlled so that the driving force equivalent to the creep driving force to be generated by the driving of the engine by a power transmission mechanism can be decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
