PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-jet head unit having high versatility and also high operability upon head replacement, and to provide a liquid-jet apparatus using the liquid-jet head unit. SOLUTION: The head unit 1 includes, on a base plate 3 having a plurality of openings 31: heads 2; a liquid supply tube constituted of liquid flow tubes connected to the head 2 and a common liquid flow tube as a liquid flow tube common for the respective liquid flow tubes, for supplying the liquid to the liquid-jet head; one signal supply unit 6 for supplying a drive signal to the liquid-jet head; and a frame 5 fixed to the base plate so as to support the signal supply unit on the liquid-jet head and the liquid flow tubes. The respective members disposed on the base plate are arranged so that they may be stored in a pillar-shaped space taking the base plate as a bottom surface, and the signal supply unit is constituted so as to be separated from the base plate in a vertical direction.
