Class 112 Lock-stitching by rotary hooks.-In a hook in which the raceway 15 in the body 11, for receiving the bearing rib 16 of the bobbin-case carrier 17, is open-sided over a large part of the circumference and is closed over much of this part by a gib 22 of L-section, the radial wall 23 of the gib is relieved at 32 adjacent to the loopcontrolling tail 31 to provide a thread clearance permitting early removal of the needle-thread loop from the bobbin-case carrier. The point of the tail 31 lies on the wall 23, and the edge of this wall increases in radius towards the point, so that the latter lies'at the same radius as the outer surface of the bearing rib 16 or slightly within this radius. |
