PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the position of a specific feature on map data in an easy-to-see manner. SOLUTION: The map display apparatus 100 displays map data on a display 110 by using a plurality of colors. A designation section 101 receives designation of at least one color of the colors used for displaying map data. A display control section 102 changes the number and size of display of the features contained in the map data on the basis of the display scale of the map data, and displays the feature to be displayed in the color designated by the designation section 101 more emphatically than the other features in the map data.
