<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control valve provided with a new cut-out shape capable of making degree of change of flow rate constant for a sliding position of a spool. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This hydraulic control valve is provided with the spool 202 provided slidably along a valve hole 206 formed inside a valve body 200. A first chamfered part 226a to a fourth chamfered part 226d being apart from each other at an equal angle along the peripheral direction are formed in the vicinity of a land end face part 222 of a first land part 216a of the spool 202. The first and third chamfered parts 226a, 226c and the second and fourth chamfered parts 226b, 226d are set in such a way that the cut-out sections along the axial direction from the land end face part 222 to the direction of land central part 224 have different dimensions X1 and X2, respectively.
