A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SPAM MESSAGE MANAGEMENT IN A MESSAGING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for managing a spam message in a messaging service are provided to enable a user to select a sharing degree for a spam report sharing policy, thereby efficiently managing a spam report. CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether a message corresponds to a confirmed spam message using a first selection algorithm for a message transmission request of a transmission server(S120). If the message does not correspond with a confirmed spam message, it is determined whether the message is a suspicious spam message using a second selection algorithm(S150). If the message corresponds to a confirmed spam message, an indicator that the message corresponds to the suspicious spam message is added(S170).
