<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane marking recognition device which generates more accurate information without receiving influence of noise. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A lane marking recognition section recognizes, based on image data which shows an image obtained by capturing a traveling direction of a vehicle using a camera, one or more lane markings on both sides in the image. A control value is calculated in a control information calculation section for each of all traveling lanes that comprise all combinations of one or more right lane markings and one or more left lane markings recognized by the lane marking recognition section. An object selection section selects, based on the lane marking information generated by the lane marking recognition section, one traveling lane from the control values of the traveling lanes calculated in the control information calculation section. A filtering section generates processing information which shows a processing value obtained by filtering the control value of the traveling lane selected by the object selection section.
