<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a wall surface structure of an evacuated vessel into a water-cooled double wall structure having an inner wall and an outer wall and to reinforce the wall surface structure so as to withstand wall surface pressure in an evacuated state including a vacuum state by integrating the inner wall with the outer wall by using a cylindrical pipe by welding. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing/constructing the double wall for the evacuated vessel includes the steps of: superposing an outer wall plate 2 which has openings at predetermined pitches R, on an inner wall plate 1 while leaving a predetermined space between them; inserting a reinforcing pipe 3 into each opening; welding a weld part 4 of the outside surface of the inner wall plate 1 with the inside surface side of the reinforcing pipe 3 which are in contact with each other; and welding each opening of the outer wall plate 2 with the end of the reinforcing pipe 3. According to this manufacturing/constructing steps, the double wall structure can be constructed extremely easily. Since a shape of the opening of the outer wall plate 2 is optional and special accuracy of a position of the opening is not required, the double wall structure can further be constructed extremely easily.
