ANTIMICROBIAL SUTURE

PURPOSE: An antimicrobial suture and a method of manufacturing the same are provided, which allow an excellent infection inhibition effect to a desired level. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing an antimicrobial suture includes: a process of manufacturing a biguanide solution in which a biguanide antimicrobial agent is melted in a solvent; a process of manufacturing a macromolecular solution in which the film formation polymer and fatty acid and its salt or its ester salt are melted in the other solvent; a process of manufacturing a coating solution by mixing the biguanide solution and macromolecular solution; a process of applying the coating solution on the suture surface; and a process of drying the coated suture.
