<p>[PROBLEMS]To provide a light-emitting element having a structure with which a local current density is uniformed and an excellent heat dissipation characteristic is obtained and having a long life time and a high reliability while obtaining a high-efficient light emission even in a large current region, and to provide a light-emitting device using the light-emitting element.[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS]A light-emitting element has a first electrode (21) and a second electrode (21) opposing to each other and electrically connected to respective first conductivity type layer and second conductivity type layer both constituting a semiconductor structure. The first electrode (21) has a pair of electrode extending portions (30) opposing to each other and formed on an electrode forming surface (15) of the first conductivity type layer positioned on the light outputting side. In the opposing direction of the pair of electrode extending portions (30), a distance, which is half the distance between the electrode extending portions (30), is less than a distance (L2) from the electrode extending portion (30) to an edge of the electrode forming surface (15).</p> |
