PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device with the same are provided to make brightness uniform, thereby increasing optical efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of lamps is separated inside a bottom cover. A diffusing sheet diffuses light generated in the lamps. A prism sheet(114b) includes a sheet base part(107), at least two reflecting patterns(111), and a light concentration pattern(109). The prism sheet concentrates light diffused into a first area and a second area. In the first area, the plurality of lamps is located. In the second area, the plurality of lamps is not located. |
