Invention in the subject belongs to the field of floor coverings intended to furnish households and sports halls and more precisely it refers to a carpet with an air-layer for accomplishing protective and thermoinsulating function.Invention herewith described solves the problem of construction of the carpet which can be made as a standard floor covering article or a modern design floor coating made of known types of material. This is achieved so that the carpet according to the invention represents a two-layer floor covering which would be made of a woven layer 1 and a cushion 2 made of a rubberized linen and divided into the chambers 3, connected by the channels 4 through which air is inserted through a standard valve 5, where the peripheral area 11 consists of three rows of chambers 6, 7 and 8 being step-like arranged so that the thickness of the cushion 2 linealy reduces toward the periphery. From the upper side of the cushion 2 there are Velcro strips 9 analogous to the Velcro strips 10 on the low side of the woven part 1, while on the surfaces and the central part of the cushion 2 there are glued ribbed rubber washers 12 and 13.
