PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to maintain balance of a storage capacitance. CONSTITUTION: The first and second thin film transistors are formed on the first and second pixel areas between each data line and the first and second gate lines of a current line. The first pixel electrode(203a) includes the first neck line unit(203b) protruded toward the first gate line. The second pixel electrode includes the second neck line unit(213b) protruded toward the second gate line. Common lines(221a,221b) are overlapped on and pass the edges of the first and second pixel electrodes in a closed loop shape.
