<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weak power converter for receiving/storing an external weak power generated by weak power generation and converting the weak power into a power large enough to be used by an electric device connected to the output side. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The weak power converter includes a DC/DC converter 1 serving as a first stage voltage converter which receives the power from an external power generator, a first-stage secondary battery 4 which receives the output from the DC/DC converter 1, a switch element 5 disposed on the output side of the secondary battery 4, a second stage DC/DC converter 6 connected via the switch element 5, a second stage secondary battery 7 which receives the output from the DC/DC converter 6, and a power detection control circuit 8 which detects the amount of power stored in the secondary battery 4. The weak power converter carries out control so that the power detection control circuit 8 closes the switch element 5 when the amount of power stored in the secondary battery 4 reaches a predetermined value.
