The device (7) has a mechanical multi-position selection lever (1) whose activation changes an image displayed on the device, where the image is displayed on the device by diffraction of a laser beam on a mobile diffractive support (3). The support is equipped with sectors with image coding, where displacement of the support is controlled by the selection lever based on discrete positions permitting interference of the sector with the laser beam.
