<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can improve S/N and further improve image resolution by suppressing noise generation caused by gain processing performed so as to compensate for a decrease in light reception amount of an imaging element. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a light splitting unit 3 which reflects/transmits incident light from a subject S toward a first optical path P1, and transmits/reflects it toward a second optical path P2, a first imaging element 11, where a plurality of pixels each including a photoelectric converting element for generating a signal value corresponding to a light reception amount are arranged, on the first optical path P1, and a second imaging element 12, where a plurality of pixels each including a photoelectric converting element differing in wavelength range of light reception are arranged, on the second optical path P2, the light splitting unit 3 splitting the incident light such that sensitivity of light reception that the first imaging element 11 has is visual sensitivity characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
