A PFC converter combines the responsiveness of P control with the stability of PI control, avoids degrading transient responsiveness, and suppresses the fluctuations in the output voltage resulting from the fluctuations in an input voltage or a load. An output voltage error amplifier (32) acts as a proportioning device which allows feedback control to stabilize the output voltage in a low-frequency domain and obtains a current reference amplitude value (vm) by multiplying an error (ev) of an output voltage detected value (vo) to an output voltage reference value (Vref) by a predetermined proportionality factor. A factor element (38) multiplies the current reference amplitude value (vm) by a predetermined factor and the value thus obtained is added to a reference value (vrO) to obtain the output voltage reference value (Vref). The factor element (38) varies the output voltage reference value (Vref) in accordance with the current reference amplitude value (vm) in the low-frequency domain and allows the output voltage reference value (Vref) to act as a low-pass filter by reducing the factor value in a high-frequency domain. |
