摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a non-discharging nozzle even when the angle of inclination in the direction of a nozzle array to the optical axis direction of a detecting luminous flux changes caused by individual difference and variation with time. SOLUTION: A detector includes a light source (LED22) and a light receiver (photodiode 23), and detects optically ink discharged from nozzles and passing through the detecting luminous flux (21). The detector in advance detects the angle of inclination in the direction of the nozzle array (1a) to the optical axis direction of the detecting luminous flux (21).
