<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a music stand function in simple constitution and to place music at a lower position. <P>SOLUTION: A standing part 10a is formed at the rear part of a musical instrument body 10 of an upright piano type keyboard instrument. In the lid 120, a first top plate 121 and a second top plate 122 are connected to each other to freely flex, that is, be turned from the extending state to the folding state by a connecting part CON. In the lid opening state, the first top plate 121 and the second top plate 122 are put in the folding state, the lid 120 erects close to the front 110aa of a raised part 110a. In the lid opened state, the connecting part CON supports the lower end 25a of music 25, and the front 110aa of the raised part 110a supports the back 25b of the music 25, thereby fulfilling the music stand function by the cooperation of them.
